Join Together Place Social Club.
The goal of TPSC is to provide a consumer-run social club where members find mutual support.
Together Place Social Club offers a variety of social, recreational, & personal growth opportunities for adults who are mental health/developmental disability service consumers.
Together Place Social Club encourages self-reliance and eventual independence from the mental health system by encouraging members to use their collective strengths to advocate for responsible changes.
Together Place Social Club believes that mental health/developmental disability consumers have the right to direct their independence in the community.
There is no cost for membership, but you must be a mental health consumer and at least 18 years of age. Drop by at 150 Union Street in Bangor and fill out an application. Entrance on 2nd Street.

Employment Connections offers the Greater Bangor area mental health consumers supportive employment opportunities. Employment Connections also contracts with several area businesses in providing custodial/maintenance services. Opportunities to work in providing these services may be available.
MMHC's Employment Connections program offers:
Paid employment
Support by job coach
Work site support (social interaction and problem solving)
MMHC helps you:
with on/off job site coaching in our contract sites
with referrals to Vocational Rehabilitation and Community Support Services.

Community Connections provide recreational opportunities to mental health consumers so they can become more integrated in their community, achieving personal fulfillment, social goals and greater independence. Opportunities include:

Penobscot Theatre, Sea Dogs baseball, Fair, Speedway 95 (HERMON MAINE), Blackbeards, BOWLING-Bangor, Brewer, YMCA (will REIMBURSE), GYM (will REIMBURSE), ADULT CLASSES (will REIMBURSE), SKI & SNOW TUBING (seasonal)
