We offer Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialists (CIPSS) who have a lived experience of mental health or substance use recovery and are trained to help as a peer. CIPSS work with peers as they move through process of recovery. CIPSS also facilitate several types of therapeutic and educational groups for people in recovery, including sessions assisting peers to express themselves through creative writing as part of their recovery.
Together Place is a division of Maine Mental Health Connections (MMHC), a 501c3 non-profit, which holds an annual statewide creative writing contest for those in recovery. MMHC’s mission is to expand civil rights for those living with mental health and substance use challenges.
